DAY 129

09 MAY 09

My son got his go kart for Christmas. Actually, he found out about it at Christmas. It didn't make it home until January. Ever since then, they've been inseparable. If my husband's home, my son's driving his go kart around our backyard track (he's not allowed on it unless my husband's home).

Fast forward a few months, and my husband starts saying he feels bad our daughter doesn't have a go kart, too. First, he stepped up the talk, then he started combing the ads. He finally found one for a good price, and we drove up and picked it up. Day 129 was the day we brought this one home.

My daughter loves her go kart, but do you know who's driven it the most? Yep -- my husband.

Post-processing: noise reduction, sharpening, curves adjustment, border addition.

  1. Cool. Sounds like a lot of fun! I'm sure Little Dude and MiniMe are having a blast. Oh and Sound Guy also. ;)

  2. Yeah, they all are. MiniMe pretends she's a dirt track racer, LittleDude thinks he is, and SoundGuy, well, he's just SoundGuy. ;)

  3. I think I saw that coming but I still laughed out loud when I read the last line! I like your creative cropping here.

  4. Tim -- Yeah, it wouldn't have been hard to see that one coming, would it?

I'm not sure why, but I feel compelled to say that this crop is not a post-processing crop, but actually the way I framed the photo in-camera. I've been kind of challenging myself to try and not do any cropping in Photoshop.
