Long Lonesome Road

DAY 117

27 APR 09

I'd been called for jury duty, which was to start the next day. On Day 117, I went out for a drive, my main goal of which was to find my county's new courthouse. After one misstep, I located the new complex, which was kind of out in the middle of nowhere. That's pretty easy to do, since I live in a rural county. Still, the old courthouse was in the middle of the county seat, the new one was way out by its lonesome.

Obviously, this isn't a photo of the courthouse. It's a picture of the road leading to the courthouse. Or, in the case, the road leading away. There isn't a thing on this road; in fact, in the other direction, the road literally ends in a pile of dirt. Looks to me like they've left room for other businesses to move in, but for now, there's nothing there. Made for quite a drive at lunchtime!

Post-processing: noise reduction, sharpening, curves adjustment, polarizer effect, border addition.
