Walking on History

DAY 64

05 MAR 09

My daughter plays junior varsity soccer for our local high school. Pawprints like these are all over the cement around the practice field and in the stadium, marking each playoff. Each championship. For all the sports the high school participates in. Some even highlight individual players. Many of the pawprints are chipping away and faded, like this.

Whenever I'm there, I love reading the pawprints, or trying to read the pawprints in some cases. They're a historical record. And most people walk on them without even noticing they're there.

Post-processing: noise reduction, sharpening, curves adjustment, border addition.
