Moonrise

DAY 35

04 FEB 09

I was waiting in line to pick my daughter up from one school so I could drop her off at soccer practice at another school. Usually when I'm sitting there in line, I'm looking all around, trying to find things to take pictures of. On Day 35, I happened to look up and, to my surprise, saw the moon!

I'm sure this is no surprise to many, and to be honest, I'm not even sure why it caught my fancy. But catch it, it did, and now it's my Day 35 shot.

Post-processing was noise reduction, sharpening, and a bump of the blues, plus the border addition.

  1. Nice shot! What kind of camera and lens did you use on this?

  2. Thanks, Tim! Believe it or not, I grabbed this shot with my knockaround point-n-shoot. I carry a Canon PowerShot SX110 IS everywhere, particularly times and places I'm not comfortable bringing my DSLR rig.

I got the PowerShot for Christmas -- it's a great little camera.
