When the shrub in front of my living room windows blooms, the scent is just this side of heaven. I love to open the living room windows and inhale deeply.
Pictured here is a closeup of the buds, shortly before blooming.
Too bad this is another of the shrubs driving my husband crazy. He's threatening to cut it way back. I can't exactly blame him -- it's taller than the windows. Still, I hope it continues to smell as wonderful after he cuts it.
